The Groupement des Plateformes de micro et Nanotechnologies de Paris (GPNP), formerly known as the “Centrale de Proximité Paris Centre” (SBPC), pools micro-nano manufacturing technology offerings
in Central Paris. It brings together the cleanrooms of five Paris research institutes: the Laboratoire de Physique de l'ENS (LPENS, PSL), the Matériaux et Phénomènes Quantiques laboratory (MPQ,
Université de Paris Cité), the Institut des NanoSciences de Paris (INSP, Sorbonne Université), the Observatoire de Paris and the Institut Pierre-Gilles de Gennes technology platform (UAR3750, IPGG).
All members of the consortium have access to the network's cleanrooms, in accordance with each member's own rules of use. The consortium is part of the RENATECH+ national network.
These technology platforms offer equipment, training and services in micro and nano-fabrication. The staff in charge of managing these facilities are responsible for maintaining the cleanrooms and
their equipment, welcoming and training users, and promoting technological development.
To clarify the consortium's organization, a charter is in force: GPNP charter
